The Solution for Moisture-Activated Fiberglass Wraps
HJ3 Composite Technologies' GlassSeal™ Moisture Cured Urethane (MCU) is a pre-impregnated urethane-based fiberglass wrap.
HJ3 Composite Technologies' GlassSeal™ Moisture Cured Urethane (MCU) is a pre-impregnated urethane-based fiberglass wrap.
This system is ideal for lower pressure, lower temperature applications in environments where a moisture tolerant material is required. GlassSeal™ MCU comes in a variety of sizes and widths to handle any geometry.
Secures stop gaps to seal leaking pipe (i.e. clamps) for longer performance
Lower cost alternative for Low-Risk Pipe applications
Can be installed in sub-sea and high moisture environments
Provides protection against mechanical wear and abrasion
GlassSeal™ MCU is compliant with ASME PCC-2 and ISO 24817 for repair of ASME B31 piping

When it comes to wet installation environments or subsea applications, GlassSeal MCU is a great alternative to field saturated epoxy systems. GlassSeal MCU is offered as an engineered system designed for rehabilitation or as a maintenance product to arrest the spread of external corrosion. GlassSeal complies with ASME PCC-2, ISO 24817, API, DOT and ASME B31 for Non-Metallic pipe repair.
GlassSeal™ MCU is designed for rapid reinforcement of stopgaps and temporary leak repairs. GlassSeal MCU is also commonly used as an additional barrier layer to prevent high pressure sealant from breaching thin wall piping during installation of an engineered leak repair clamp (enclosure).
"GlassSeal™ has been a great product for us. The convenience is definitely there, so we use it over stop gaps, and to prevent main lining on some clamps. It comes in handy when our customer wants a short term repair on water service or something low risk like that."
