HJ3 Composite Technologies Named National Finalist in the Cleantech Open Accelerator
Tucson, AZ — HJ3 Composite Technologies, LLC, headquartered in Tucson, AZ, has achieved the honor of being named a national finalist in the Annual Cleantech Open Accelerator. This accolade comes on the heels of the company's success at the recent Rocky Mountain Region qualifier. The Cleantech Open, now in its fifth year, is a global organization that has facilitated the realization of 727 cleantech startups' innovative concepts, provided support for its alumni companies to secure over $800 million in external funding, and contributed to the creation of numerous green-collar jobs since 2006.
HJ3's recognition as a national finalist entitles them to receive $20,000 in cash and in-kind services. Furthermore, they will advance to compete against 24 other winners from eight regions across the United States at the Cleantech National Global Forum scheduled for November 20th and 21st in San Jose, CA. At the forum, finalists will have the opportunity to network with potential investors and vie for prizes that can be as substantial as $250,000.
HJ3 Composite Technologies is dedicated to implementing sustainable solutions for reinforcing the world's deteriorating infrastructure. The company specializes in the manufacturing, engineering, and installation of advanced composite systems. With a successful track record of over 10,000 applications worldwide, HJ3's patented carbon fiber composite systems offer unmatched strength, lightweight properties, corrosion resistance, and exceptional resistance to chemical, abrasion, temperature, and fire. As global infrastructure faces ongoing degradation, with an estimated price tag of $3.6 trillion and a $1 trillion spending gap in the United States alone, HJ3 empowers owners to achieve more with reduced costs and minimal environmental impact.
Annually, around 140 million tons of steel and concrete materials end up in U.S. landfills. The replacement of old infrastructure generates billions of tons of CO2 emissions. HJ3's products provide an eco-friendly alternative, mitigating the waste and carbon dioxide emissions associated with steel, concrete, and demolition. Government entities and Fortune 500 corporations who choose HJ3 solutions can save between 60% and 90% on the costs of steel and concrete repairs or replacements, effectively extending the life of their infrastructure by up to 30 years.
The Cleantech Open operates the world's largest cleantech accelerator, with a mission to discover, fund, and nurture entrepreneurs who possess innovative solutions for pressing energy, environmental, and economic challenges. This 501(c)(3) non-profit organization delivers the infrastructure, expertise, and strategic alliances that transform creative ideas into thriving global cleantech businesses.
